Student Counselor
I am passionate about helping clients navigate life transitions, improve communication, set and maintain healthy boundaries, and manage interpersonal conflict. I have a special interest in working with ADHD, depression, anxiety, anger, and parents of children who are experiencing emotional dysregulation.
My goal is to come alongside clients, empower them to develop skills to manage emotions effectively, improve communication skills and build the tools necessary for meaningful change.
My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) mindfulness techniques and is rooted in the family systems perspective – exploring how patterns from our family origins influence current behaviors and relationships. Examining these influences, we can untangle dysfunctional patterns and cultivate healthier dynamics.
I am originally from Mexico, Missouri, and have called Columbia, Missouri ‘home’ since 2015. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, and previously obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and Leadership from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
If you are ready to begin your counseling journey, I would love to come alongside and support your goals and your journey towards wellness.
