Student Counselor
I was born and raised right here in Missouri and pursued a career in art before discovering my passion for helping people. Coming from a country-boy background, I have a unique perspective on struggles with masculinity, LGBTQIA+ issues, sex and intimacy, gender, body image, and how we reconcile the places that we come from with the people we strive to be.
I utilize a constructivist approach that integrates person-centered techniques; believing that we are shaped by the experiences of our lives that give us each a unique perspective of the world. I endeavor to create a collaborative, supportive environment to help clients reconnect with themselves and be better equipped to cope with life’s challenges. I am particularly passionate about (but certainly not limited to!) working with LGBTQIA+ communities and people struggling with sex, sexuality, and intimacy.
I am currently in my final year of study for my Master’s of Education in Clinical Counseling at Stephens College, and received a Bachelor’s degree in Art from Lincoln University.
