Marriage & Family Counseling Center (MFCC) is always interested in partnering with clinicians who are like-minded, self-motivated, and passionate about providing excellent clinical care to couples, families, and individuals.

We believe in evidence-based treatment, study, and continually striving to understand human behavior and how life experiences impact day-to-day living. We also believe that we are holistic beings, shaped by our past and present experiences and those who have influenced us. At Marriage & Family Counseling Center we value merging both evidence-based practices and the idea that we are holistic beings together.

When working with clients we firmly hold that clients are not one-size-fits-all, and not every therapist or therapeutic modality fits everyone. We don’t see ourselves as ‘experts’ in their lives or their experiences and believe that we are here simply to come alongside clients in a personal and individualized manner – using our training and continual learning to help clients connect better with themselves, their experiences, to heal and overcome obstacles preventing them from living their lives to the fullest.

We encourage our therapists to be genuine, authentic, and to ‘be you,’ in and outside of the therapy room. We believe that being our authentic selves not only makes clients feel more at home with you but aids in preventing burnout.

MFCC holds high standards and expectations for clinical excellence, expecting therapists to be continual learners and students who remain on top of new and emerging therapeutic skills.

Culture is very important to us. We have worked hard behind the scenes to carefully and intentionally curate a culture and environment that is warm, inviting, collaborative, and fully supportive of therapists and clients. We value the uniqueness that everyone brings to the team and prioritize being a good fit as important to both the clinic and the clients that we serve.

We have created a practice that fully supports clinicians doing the work they love – therapy and direct one-on-one with clients – without the burden and headache of all the non-clinical aspects that make a practice run.  Our Client Care and Billing Team handles all initial inquiries, scheduling, emails or initial client requests, billing, and insurance claim filing. In addition, the practice covers all the heavy and costly expenses like marketing, accounting, commercial office space, malpractice insurance, continuing education, supervision reimbursement, and all the other expenses that are part of maintaining a thriving private practice. This allows you to focus on what you do best and stress less.

There are many benefits and advantages to joining a group practice, but one of the top reasons is that you are never alone. You get to be a part of a collaborative team that supports, consults, and helps foster growth as a clinician. Having additional built-in consultants and a support team means you are never isolated or on your own, and clients directly benefit when you are encouraged, supported, and even pushed to be better.

Private practice is not for everyone. But for those of us at MFCC, we recognize that we are not our best selves when being overworked and exhausted by unrealistic caseloads that come with some therapy clinics or agencies. We know that these types of productivity expectations and caseloads quickly lead to burnout.

We believe in building a caseload size that works for each individual clinician and are committed to reducing burnout among therapists as best we can, which in turn improves the overall reputation of therapy in general.   We are so grateful that our colleagues and community respect us, and that our reputation and community support have allowed us to grow into the practice that we are today.  This also means that by joining our team you get to experience a well-known and respected therapy clinic, with a built-in referral system already in place.

Focus on the work that you are most passionate about, and have the flexibility to balance your career with other important parts of what makes life meaningful to you.

The right person for our practice will align with the values described above, as well as being clinically sound, authentic, vulnerable, curious, trustworthy, hard-working, collaborative, and empathetic. These values and characteristics should be easily notable in any communication, interviews, and interactions with other staff.

We are always hiring both licensed and pre-licensed therapists, especially those with a passion to grow as a therapist, a strong desire to work with couples/relationships, and experience that goes well beyond clinical competency.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to get to know you. Please email your resume or CV to counseling@marriageandfamilycenter.com
